Masterclasses are a unique opportunity to recieve or observe instrumental tuition from a teacher who posesses extraordinary knowledge and experience. The student performs one or several pieces for the teacher who then instructs and inspires the student. At masterclasses, there is also a group of listeners. This adds a special quality to the teaching, since it adds an extra incentive to both student and teacher to render his or her utmost, as well as it gives the not-so-advanced students an opportunity to perform in front of a knowledgeable, yet friendly audience.
